A leading construction company in Selangor, Malaysia is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to prepare and manage Bills of Quantities, oversee cost control, and liaise with project teams for high-rise construction projects. The role demands a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 3 years of relevant experience in a contractor setting. Candidates should possess strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills and be able to work independently under strict deadlines.
Prepare, review, and manage Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and tender documents for high-rise construction projects.
Handle project costing, budgeting, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Evaluate subcontractor quotations, conduct cost comparisons, and recommend suitable subcontractors.
Prepare and submit progress claims, interim valuations, and final accounts.
Monitor project expenditures and ensure costs remain within the approved budget.
Measure and value variations, claims, and contractual changes accurately.
Liaise with project managers, site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Assist in contract administration, including preparation of contracts, progress reports, and cost reports.
Ensure compliance with contract conditions, company policies, and relevant construction standards.
Attend site meetings and provide commercial support to the project team as required.
