A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor or Contract Executive to prepare tender documentation and manage project costing. Candidates must hold at least an SPM, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields, with a preference for those having a QS-related certificate. A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience is expected, along with strong measurement skills and effective communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for junior positions.
Prepare tender BQ and tender documentation, project costing and contract administration.
Assist in taking-off quantities and cost planning.
To manage and coordinate pre-tender documentation, response to tender clarifications and amendments.
Responsible on the price negotiation and comparison.
Review the quotation for purchasing of construction materials.
Prepare the budget and cost control of the project.
To ensure proper documentation records and proper filing system is maintained at all times.
To perform any other related duties that management may require from time to time.
Check and verify claims from sub-contractors.
Check and verify progress of project claims to clients.
Liaise with sub-contractors, client, consultant and project team.
Follow-up with project team on progress of work done at site.
Candidate must possess at least SPM, Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent. Preferably candidate with any Certificate related to QS.
Preferably minimum 2 to 5 years relevant working experience, preferably candidates with working experience as QS or Contract Executive.
Good in English, Bahasa Malaysia.
Good in measurement skill and hardworking.
Able to lead, organize, coordinate, manage, responsible, work independently with minimum supervision and efficient.
