Job summary

A manufacturing company in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a Quality Control professional to ensure the handling and monitoring of quality standards for incoming components. The ideal candidate will have experience in QC/QA and be familiar with inspection tools and ISO certified environments. Responsibilities include reporting nonconformance and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Strong candidates will possess a diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related fields while being proficient in tools like calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• Experience in QC/QA within a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Exposure to ISO certified manufacturing is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper handling of inspection tools during use.
• Monitor quality level of incoming components.
• Administer rejects and replacements of incoming components.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper handling of inspection, measuring & testing tools and equipment during use.
• Continuously monitor quality level of incoming components by collecting measurement data.
• Administer, handle, monitor and dispose rejects, replacements, scraps of incoming components.
• Report or update any nonconformance detected at product in‑progress, finished product and production processes to the Quality Engineer and follow up corrective actions at the shop floor related to product quality and management system.
• Assist and participate in activities related to quality prevention, improvement and projects concerning incoming production processes and products.
• Compile, collect and update reference documents required for quality controls including drawings, specifications, codes, standards, guidelines and statutory documents and materials.
• Participate in the implementation, maintenance and improvement of ISO 14001 (EMS), ISO 9001 (QMS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) in the company.

Qualifications

• Candidate from a manufacturing background with experience in QC/QA has an added advantage.
• Computer literacy is preferred, and responsibility for measuring equipment such as caliper, micrometer, height gauge is expected.
• Exposure to an ISO certified manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
