Job summary

A manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a quality inspector to perform inspections on materials and products. Responsibilities include conducting quality checks, managing nonconforming products, and assisting with customer complaints. Candidates should have proficiency in measuring tools and hold a relevant certificate or diploma. This position is open to applicants with at least one year of experience or fresh graduates.

Qualifications

• One year of experience and above, fresh graduate also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming inspection of purchased and outsourced materials.
• Perform patrol inspection and sampling inspection of semi-finished and finished products.
• Complete various inspection records.
• Manage nonconforming product identification and disposition.
• Implement testing per the test plan and issue reports.
• Assist in handling customer complaints and participate in CAPA.

Skills

Proficiency in Measuring Tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges, hardness tester)

Basic Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Job description

Incoming inspection of purchased and outsourced materials

Patrol inspection and sampling inspection of semi-finished and finished products

Completion of various inspection records (castings, full process, surface treatment, finished products, etc.)

2.SampleandFirstArticleInspection

Completion and approval of First Article Inspection (FAI) records

3.Nonconforming Product Management

Identification, disposition, follow-up, and verification of nonconforming products

Control of the entire nonconforming product disposition process

4.Testing Implementation

Completion of salt spray, tensile/bending, adhesion, and other tests according to the test plan

Issuance of test reports

5.Measuring Equipment Management

Internal calibration of in-house measuring instruments to ensure accuracy

6.Customer Complaints and Improvement

Assist the Quality Supervisor and engineers in handling customer complaints

Participate in root cause investigation and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)

7. Quality Issue Analysis

Participate in the analysis of quality issues and incidents, and propose improvement suggestions
