Quality Engineer

We are looking for a proactive Quality Engineer to join our newly established heavy machinery assembly facility in Seremban – Sendayan Techvalley, supporting underground load and haul equipment.

About the Division

The Load & Haul Division, the home of Sandvik loaders and trucks for underground mining business. Here we are safer, stronger, and smarter, as we like to say it. We have been the market leader in accelerating diesel and battery‑electric equipment development, with sharpened priorities. We work in close co‑operation with the sales areas within the Sandvik Mining Business Area, to provide the best possible service for our customers. Load & Haul home based in Turku, Finland. Additionally, we have operations in Camarillo, USA | Changzhou, China | Khomanani, South Africa as well in Seremban, Malaysia.

About the Job
  • Join the early stage of supplier fabrication
  • Part inspection at supplier site during FA delivery and after
  • Approve on supplier PSW, (Part Submission Warrant)
  • Rework/ repair & sorting arrangement
  • Part quality monitoring during production assembly
Supplier Quality Audit
  • Performance/ process audit at supplier factory
  • System audit at supplier factory
Serial Production Part Improvement
  • Root cause analysis on problem/ claim review in term of process, packaging & product.
  • Instant support to production when quality issue occur related to supplier e.g. replacement/ alternative component
Supplier Quality Performance Monitoring
  • Set criteria for supplier performance
  • Monitor supplier performance based on claim, ppm, rework/repair cost etc.
Your Profile – What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a quality engineer within heavy machinery assembly or manufacturing industry
  • Strong English proficiency is essential.
  • Experience and skill in using measurement tools such as pressure gauges, dial gauges, 3D scanners, torque wrenches, etc.
  • Background in quality or engineering functions, ideally with knowledge of automotive products or heavy machinery manufacturing processes.
  • Experienced in conducting internal audits, including product audits and ISO 9001 Quality Management System audits.
  • Quality management knowledge including containment actions and 8D analysis.
  • Familiarity with basic quality tools: SPC, Control Plan, FMEA, MSA.
