Job summary

A leading packaging manufacturer in Port Klang is seeking a Quality Control staff member to manage equipment calibration, inspect materials, and ensure compliance with ISO standards. The ideal candidate has at least a year of experience in the field and is familiar with quality control processes and documentation. This role involves collaborating with the QC Manager and requires technical drawing reading skills. Working hours are Monday to Friday with some Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a related field.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and documentation.
• Willingness to work in Port Klang and committed to attending work hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
• Oversee equipment calibration and raw materials inspection.
• Conduct testing for recycled materials and maintain documentation.
• Gather reports for data analysis and ensure accuracy.

Skills

QC knowledge

Ability to read technical drawings

Familiarity with measurement tools

Knowledge of ISO 9001

SPM or Diploma in a related field

Job description

The company is a well-established plastic packaging manufacturer based in Malaysia, serving customers in both local and international markets. With a workforce of 300 workers and operators, the company has amassed over 170 units of machinery, supporting a production capacity of 27,500 metric tons per annum. The company aims to provide quality products and services at competitive pricing for its value customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly & monthly reports.
• Take charge of all equipment calibration.
• Verify return of goods for defects.
• Incoming inspection for all raw materials & WIPs from sub-contractors.
• Conduct testing for recycled material.
• Daily data entry into computer system.
• Maintain ISO documentation requirements.
• Up keeping of proper filing systems.
• Ensure all inspection report is correct & complete.
• Gather reports from related departments for data analysis and follow up for any inconsistency.
• Assist QC Manager on day to day & case to case basis.
• Any other duties that may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

Requirements

• Min 1 year experience in related field.
• Min SPM leaver, Diploma in any related field.
• QC knowledge.
• Able to read & understand technical drawing and specification.
• Able to use technical & measurement tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001.
• Willing to work in Pandamaran, Port Klang.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.30pm; Saturday 8.00pm to 1.00pm.
