Job summary

A Food & Beverage company in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality function, manage compliance with industry standards, and oversee customer complaint resolutions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or Technology and at least 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include coaching the quality team, conducting compliance audits, and providing training in safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality in a Food & Beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Experience and knowledge in ISO, GMP, HACCP and Food Safety.

Responsibilities

Job description

Heads the quality function in the business to ensure meeting the quality requirements, statutory compliance, external audits and customer audit compliance.

Coaches quality team to manage quality role in the business, incoming, operation line executives, sanitation and pest control executives.

Manages customer complaints, timely investigation and responses.

Manages compliance audits ie: FSSC 22000, MOH, HACCP and Halal

Liaise with external bodies such as DVS, DOSH, LKIM, KPDNKK, and MITI for application and renewal of certificate and compliance with the legislation.

Manages line operation through finished product specification compliance, line quality control, hold and releases.

Collaboratively work with R&D and Marketing team for new product development; giving recommendations in quality perspectives.

In house trainer for the company and identify technical training, organize training for existing and new staff in order to ensure the safety rules and regulation are complied.

Coaches team to achieve some major projects in quality function.

Provide expert advice to the business on technical issues related to product quality.

Forecast and manage budgets.

Develop and lead a high-performing team.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or Food Technology, or any related fields.

Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality in a Food & Beverage manufacturing environment.

Experience and knowledge in ISO, GMP, HACCP and Food Safety.

Strong analytical skills and good communication skills.
