Job summary

A leading flour and feed manufacturing company based in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to oversee the Feed Safety Management System and ensure compliance with ISO 22000:2018 certifications. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and experience in Quality Control. Responsibilities include managing quality standards, customer feedback investigation, and leading Halal certification processes. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential for this role.

Job description

Responsible for Feed ISO 22000:2018 Certification updates and well maintained, ensure raw materials/ feed quality and safety in place, respond to customer complaint/feedback related, ensure Halal system updates and well maintained.

Job Responsibilities
  • Authorized to approve subordinates leave and OT claim, to instruct production/warehouse to act accordingly related to poor quality of raw materials, to instruct production on poor feed physical quality, to instruct laboratory subordinates for additional testing required.
  • As Feed Safety Management System Coordinator in maintaining ISO 22000:2018 Certification.
  • As Lead Auditor for Feed Internal Audit, responsible for external audit and Internal Auditor for both Flour and Feed.
  • Communicate with Group Technical Manager (Feed) for changes in formulation, new raw material, or new feed produced.
  • Responsible for ensuring raw material purchased received in good quality and safe to be used and ensure finished feed produced to customer are within specification and in best quality by initiate reports and findings.
  • Ensure instruments, chemical, glassware, etc. used for testing are in good condition and safe to be used by staff and find ways of improvement to testing related.
  • Received, investigate, compile feed complaint/feedback received. Evaluate and monitor competitor feed trend.
  • Communicate closely with production team to ensure feed produced with the best quality and preferrable by customers.
  • As Halal committee member responsible for certification renewal, Halal internal audit and conduct Halal meeting.
Education & Qualification
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Science/ Chemistry, Food Science and others related qualification

  • Preferably experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance

  • GMP, HACCP, Internal Audit, PRP, ISO 22000:2018, FSSC 22000
