Job summary

A food processing company in Selangor seeks a qualified food safety officer. The role involves coordinating food safety meetings, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards, and conducting audits. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field with 2-3 years of experience. Knowledge of ISO standards and a HALAL Executive certificate are advantageous. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate independently. Travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the food industry, fresh graduates encouraged.
  • Knowledge in ISO 9001, GMP, HALAL, HACCP, ISO 22000 preferred.
  • HALAL Executive certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the meeting concerning Food safety and preparing the minutes.
  • Assist Plant Manager in maintenance of the Food Safety system integrity.
  • Monitor and verify the process flow is in complying with the food safety principles.
  • Act as Hygiene Officer and carry out the internal audit for maintaining of good quality, cleanliness, hygiene and housekeeping.
  • Check and ensure the practice is accordance to the Food safety document.
  • Investigate and prepare customer complaint report revert the action plan with sales department in timely order.
  • Do checking on receiving of raw material as required.
  • Report wherever CCP and OPRP deviation occur to Plant Manager.
  • Assist QA Manager in performing any duties given.
  • Make sure all employees and other person who enter and work manufacturing plant must follow the proper hygienic practices.
  • Do sampling as per testing plan and customer requirement raw material.
  • Liaise with supplier on required lab testing equipment and issue purchase order.
  • Perform R&D on the development of new potential products.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor of Food Science/ Food Technology or its equivalents.
  • At least 2-3 Year(s) of working experience in food industry or its related field is required for this position. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledgeable in ISO 9001, GMP, HALAL, HACCP, ISO 22000 are added advantages.
  • HALAL Executive certificate is added value.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel.
