Job description

We are seeking a Senior Executive / Executive to join our QA/QC (QMS) team at Ann Joo Steel Services Sdn Bhd (part of Ann Joo Resources Berhad) in Shah Alam Seksyen 15. This is a full-time, permanent position responsible for leading the overall quality management of the company, ensuring that all products, processes, and systems meet internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.

Reporting Line

This role will be direct reporting to QA/QC (QMS) Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Quality Management Representative (QMR), leading the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Develop, establish, and control all automotive quality documentation, including Procedures, Forms, VVIs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Plan, coordinate, and execute customer, product, process, and internal audits to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Manage and maintain documentation for the 5 Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA, SPC) to support new product development and process control.
• Take full ownership of ISO 9001:2015 internal and external audits, including audit scheduling, execution, reporting, and follow-up.
• Drive certification readiness and lead coordination for external audits such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Liaise directly with certification bodies, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors on quality system matters, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings and nonconformities.
• Define, review, and continuously improve quality policies, procedures, and standards to align with organizational objectives.
• Identify and assess potential quality risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proactive implementation.
• Foster a culture of quality and risk-based thinking throughout the organization.
• Any other duties as assigned by the management from time to time.

Qualifications

• Must have both ISO 9001 Quality Management System and IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Standards certifications (Professional/Training/Attendance).
• Lead Auditor Certifications is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Material Science, Material Technology, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Science, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in QMS/QMR/QA/QC.
