Position Summary
The QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all telecommunications products, components, and materials meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves performing inspections, testing, and reporting to ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products according to established checklists and quality standards.
- Verify that telecommunications products (e.g., cables, switchboards, connectors, assemblies) meet design specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
- Record, analyze, and report inspection results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming products; coordinate with relevant departments for corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure proper calibration and use of testing tools, meters, and measuring equipment.
- Support continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist in internal audits, external audits, and compliance checks related to ISO, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate quality issues promptly to supervisors and relevant teams for resolution.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in quality inspection or testing (preferably in telecommunications or electronics industry).
- Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, TL 9000, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Familiar with measuring tools (calipers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
