Job summary

A prominent food manufacturing company in Malaysia is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality functions and ensure compliance with applicable standards. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in the frozen seafood industry. Responsibilities
  • Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
  • Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved (KPI).
  • Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability.
  • Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing them with customer requirements.
  • Working with Engineers, Purchasing and other departments to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
  • Handling customer complaints and ensuring preventive actions are implemented.
  • Ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
  • Agreeing on standards and establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply.
  • Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
  • Setting up controls and documentation procedures.
  • Identifying relevant quality‑related training needs and delivering training.
  • Collecting and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters and specifications.
  • Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated, and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
  • Overseeing the quality functions including incoming, in‑process, outgoing and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Food Technology, Science or equivalent in technical disciplines.
  • Computer literate.
  • Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in Frozen Seafood or related Foods Manufacturing.
  • Familiar with HACCP, GMP, ISO, BRC and BAP.
  • Preferably managers specializing in Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent.
  • Good interpersonal skills, self‑motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and a good team player.
