Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor QA team, including section head, engineers and inspectors.
• Conduct internal training on quality standards, inspection techniques, and proper use of measuring equipment.
• Develop and update quality policies, procedures (SOPs) and work instructions relevant to machining, welding, forming, and finishing processes.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for internal and external non-conformances (NCRs).
• Oversee Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection of fabricated components (e.g., sheet metal, machine parts, weldments).
• Oversee the development and maintenance of precision tools like CMMs, micrometer, calipers, gauge blocks, and specialized fixtures.
• Act as the primary contact for customer quality concerns and facilitate required quality documentation (e.g., Material Certifications, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), Dimensional Reports).
• Monitor and analyze key quality metrics (e.g., Defect Rate, Customer Rejection Rate).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Management, with significant experience in a precision metal fabrication, machining, or welding environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and process optimization techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to adapt to new technologies, processes, and industry trends.
