Job description

Company Background: A leading manufacturer of prefabricated modular data centre solutions, specialise in the data centre and power systems industry. With R&D facilities in Shanghai and high‑end manufacturing plants in Shanghai and Malaysia, it delivers innovative solutions for hyperscale data centre projects globally. The company is located in Johor Bahru, and the actual working location is subject to the project.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute quality assurance activities for fit‑out, steel structure, and M&E‑related works at project sites.
• Prepare and implement QA plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), checklists, and inspection procedures.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, and variation submissions.
• Monitor steel structure fabrication and installation quality, including welding, bolted connections, coating, corrosion protection, NDT testing, and installation tolerances.
• Conduct quality inspections for interior fit‑out works, including partitions, ceilings, flooring, finishes, and equipment interfaces.
• Identify non‑conformances (NCR), perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to closure.
• Coordinate with consultants, PMC teams, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain complete and traceable QA and construction documentation, including drawings, revisions, inspection records, test reports, and as‑built documents.
• Support final inspections, consultant re‑inspections, defect rectification, and project handover activities.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction, Building Services, Structural, Mechanical & Electrical, Interior Fit‑out, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC or site quality roles within fit‑out, steel structure, or M&E installation projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel structure fabrication and installation processes, including welding, bolted connections, coating, corrosion protection, and NDT testing.
• Good understanding of interior fit‑out systems and construction detailing.
• Familiar with QA documentation and document control processes.
• QA/QC‑related certifications (e.g. ISO 9001, welding, coating, NDT) are an added advantage.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
• Strong communication, coordination, and report‑writing skills.
• Able to work independently at project sites.

Salary Range: Open for negotiation
