Mission
The primary focus of this role is to champion product quality through comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) frameworks. This leader will oversee compliance with international standards, manage New Product Development & Introduction (NPDI) quality processes, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure customer requirements are consistently met or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities & Activities
1. Quality Assurance and Control (QAC)
- Process Leadership: Develop and maintain robust QA processes to ensure all products align with the highest quality standards.
- Inspection & Detection: Establish quality control plans and rigorous inspection procedures to identify and mitigate non‑conformances early in the production cycle.
- Problem Solving: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective Actions (CA), serving as the primary quality liaison for customers.
- Trend Analysis: Analyze defect trends and initiate continuous improvement (CI) projects with cross‑functional teams to reduce waste and non‑conforming products.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor the QAC team, including engineers and inspectors, setting KPIs that align with organizational excellence.
2. Compliance & Auditing
- Regulatory Oversight: Ensure the facility adheres to industry certifications and regulatory requirements, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
- Audit Management: Organize and lead both internal and external audits, including customer‑specific audits and certification body reviews.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous records and documentation to support audit readiness and compliance reporting.
3. New Product Development & Introduction (NPDI)
- Collaborative Launch: Partner with Sales, Technical, and Production teams during New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure seamless delivery and adherence to quality criteria.
- Validation: Develop and execute NPDI quality plans, overseeing First Article Inspection (FAI) and approval processes for new products or process changes.
4. Operational Excellence
- Continuous Improvement: Drive "Operation Excellence" through Kaizen projects and maintain high 5S standards in the workplace.
- Safety Advocacy: Contribute to a safe working environment by identifying and resolving potential hazards or near‑miss situations.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
Core Competencies
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Integrated Management Systems (QEHS), SPC (Statistical Process Control), FMEA, and RCA.
- Auditing: Proven experience in auditing and maintaining documentation for ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
- Leadership: Ability to mentor junior staff and lead complex discussions with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality bottlenecks.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with internal teams, global suppliers, and high‑value customers.
