Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Malaysia is looking for a Purchasing Executive for a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will manage supplier relationships, track deliveries, and ensure compliance with procurement policies. Required qualifications include a university degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment. Purchasing Executive (Contract 12 months)
  • Manage Supplier Delivery Tracking and coordination with respective internal stakeholders.
  • Follow up outstanding goods receipt and payment matter with respective internal stakeholders.
  • Managing pool of approved suppliers for on time in full delivery, good service level & competitive pricing
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or compliance.
  • Conduct regular supplier reviews and audits.
  • Sub-contract activities
  • Manage sub-contract activities with co-packer.
  • Develop the promo packing material with PD and co-packer (Carton, label, sticker, sleeves and other premium item).
  • Develop alternative suppliers to enhance both market and price competition and process efficiency.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities.
  • Maintain related purchasing master data, Vendor Master & Material Master in SAP system.
  • Education Experience: -University Degree Holder in Business Studies/Supply Value Chain/Management.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in the similar capacity.
  • Has experience in handling procurement in manufacturing environment.
  • Requirements & Skill: -Prepared to work independently, under pressure & possess a high sense of responsibility.
  • Good command of written and spoken English & Mandarin.
  • Strong at Cost management and Performance metrics tracking and reporting.
  • Proficiency in mastering Microsoft excel and power point.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skill.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
