A leading food production company in Negeri Sembilan is looking for a Purchasing Executive to manage procurement activities. You will oversee supplier relationships, ensure compliance with policies, and handle purchase orders. The ideal candidate should hold a University Degree in Business Studies or Supply Chain Management, with at least one year of related experience. Proficiency in English and Mandarin, along with strong analytical skills, is essential for this role. The position is based in Bandar Enstek.

Qualifications

Job description

This is an exciting 1-year contract opportunity for a Purchasing Executive to join the team at MAHSURI FOOD SDN. BHD., based in Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan. As a Purchasing Executive, you will play a key role in the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics department, with a focus on Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Manage PO issuance activities.
• Manage Supplier Delivery Tracking and coordination with respective internal stakeholders.
• Follow up outstanding goods receipt and payment matter with respective internal stakeholders.
• Manage pool of approved suppliers for on-time, in-full delivery, good service level & competitive pricing.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or compliance.
• Conduct regular supplier reviews and audits.
• Manage sub-contract activities with co-packer.
• Develop the promo packing material with PD and co-packer (carton, label, sticker, sleeves and other premium items).
• Develop alternative suppliers to enhance market and price competition and process efficiency.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities.
• Maintain related purchasing master data, Vendor Master & Material Master in SAP system.

Job Specifications

• University Degree Holder in Business Studies / Supply Value Chain / Management.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in a similar capacity.
• Experience handling procurement in a manufacturing environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English & Mandarin to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Willing to travel between Shah Alam & Bandar Enstek.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
