Working Date & Time: Monday - Friday 7AM - 4PM / 8AM - 5PM

Reporting to: Purchasing Manager

Job Description
  • Review purchase requests and material requirement planning
  • Prepare Purchase Orders and submit for approval
  • Send Purchase Orders to suppliers and obtain acknowledgement
  • Proactively follow-up orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Take action to resolve any case of changes, delays, quality issues, etc., cooperating with concerned colleagues and with suppliers and escalating to upper level if appropriate
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with assigned suppliers
  • Maintain relations with direct material suppliers and share critical information with upper level
  • Support the research, select, qualification, and assessment of suppliers
  • Review status and trend of material stock against given objectives
  • Ensure that purchasing master-data, files, and documents and supplier/materials info records in the information system are continuously aligned and updated
  • Support functional improvement and saving plans
  • Support capital projects
  • Investigate and process inventory deletions and obsolescence requests when identified
Requirements
  • 1+ year experience with direct procurement required. Fresh graduates are mostly welcome.
  • Professional English and Mandarin appreciated to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Analytical skills to review data and prepare surveys, analysis, budget, reports, etc.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively cooperate with inter-functional teams and assigned suppliers
  • Strong orientation to results and ability to pursue, influence and deliver change
  • Competence in direct procurement best practices and advanced tools
