Job summary

A logistics solutions provider in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Purchasing Executive to conduct product research and manage supplier relationships. Key responsibilities include issuing purchase orders, negotiating contracts, and maintaining inventory records. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and a diploma or bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Statistics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.

Job description
Job Responsibility
  • Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors
  • Sourcing materials and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals
  • Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary
  • Issue Purchase Order to Vendors, follow up & ensure timely delivery
  • Co-ordinate closely with forwarding agent on the import shipments clearance
  • Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments, and received stock
  • To handle complaint or claims from all quality issue of the the products from the vendors
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
  • Coordinate with warehouse staffs and other departments to ensure business goals are met
  • Support on administrative work
Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematic or Statistic any related qualification or related qualification in the related field
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in the related field (Executive)
  • Fresh graduates or 1 year experience in in the related field (Officer)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Knowledge in data , operational and financial analysis
  • Good knowledge in purchasing, Inventory management
  • Knowledge in ERP system or ERP Navision will be advantage
  • Fast learner, pro-active, self-driven and self-motivated
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Detailed, organized and good time management
  • Fluent in English (both written and oral)
  • Able to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Candidates fluent in mandarin and/or others dialect are added advantage /preferred as role requires candidate to dealing with Mandarin / Cantonese speaking suppliers
