Responsibilities

  • Learn about various tooling materials, maintenance procedures, and inventory control.
  • Learn predictive maintenance and data analytics to optimize tooling lifespan.
  • Study Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to enhance efficiency.
  • Review engineering requests and specifications for prototype samples.
  • Plan material usage, machine usage, tooling and ensure availability for fabrication.
  • Allocate work priorities based on project deadlines.
  • Maintain 6S in the tooling room area.
  • Perform daily tooling servicing to prevent production downtime.
  • Evaluate efficiency in prototype fabrication and tooling operations.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks in workflow and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct tooling room 6S activity improvement for tooling storage inventory.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Prototype Status Update and Tooling Room Status (6S Monitoring, pending tooling to service).
