A leading construction and engineering firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Project Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Responsibilities include supporting project management tasks such as planning, bid evaluations, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. In this role, you will report to the Project Manager or Plant Manager and support projects works including planning, bid document preparation, bid evaluation, contract administration, design review, factory testing, equipment proposal reviews, erection supervision, site inspection, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of small waste heat electricity power generation plants and other green energy projects.
You will support your immediate superior in assigned tasks and receive guidance to develop the required technical knowledge and cross-disciplinary exposure.
Your responsibilities include ensuring designs comply with project requirements, applicable standards, and safety regulations, as well as supervising erection works to ensure execution in accordance with approved specifications and testing requirements.
You will also assist in planning and design activities, drawing preparation, documentation, and coordination with relevant regulatory bodies.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, with up to two years of relevant working experience.

Able to travel, work remotely, work independently when required, relocate if needed, and commit to extended hours as required to ensure timely project completion, with flexibility to travel within and outside Malaysia.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Willingness to pick up a third language and get involved in accounting, financial and business development scopes.
