A leading telecommunications firm in Malaysia is seeking a project manager for telecom infrastructure. You will oversee multiple projects including fiber optic network rollout and 5G deployment, ensuring compliance to regulations and stakeholder engagement. Ideal candidates possess a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or related fields, have 5-8 years of relevant experience, and strong leadership skills. This role presents an opportunity to significantly influence telecommunications advancements in the region.
Technology expertise: Staying up to date with the latest telecommunication technologies and trends and applying this knowledge to project planning and execution.
Examples of projects might include:
Manages MCMC, local authority, JKR and environmental compliance.
Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing rollout strategies, aligning them with business objectives and market demands.
Project Management: Managing multiple projects simultaneously, from initial planning and resource allocation to execution and closure.
Stakeholder Management: Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure smooth project delivery.
Performance Monitoring: Tracking project progress, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
Budget Management: Overseeing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Master's degree is an advantage.
Professional certificates such as CCNP, PMP, or equivalent are an added advantage.
A minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant experience, preferably in a managerial or senior supervisory capacity.
Experience with telecom infrastructure planning in large-scale developments (e.g., airports, smart cities, industrial zones) is preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications systems, including IP telephony, fiber optics, cellular systems, and data transmission networks.
Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, licensing, and spectrum management.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts, and vendor negotiations effectively.
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Well versed in all Microsoft programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
