Job summary

A leading construction firm in Penang is seeking a qualified professional to oversee building construction projects. The role requires managing a team, monitoring project progress, and liaising with various stakeholders. Candidates should possess a degree in civil engineering, be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and have at least 8 years of experience in the field. Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude are essential. Willingness to work on-site and during weekends is required.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant working experience.
• Physically fit and agile.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Experience with Main Contractor in Bridge / High Rise Building projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and supervise the overall works of building construction.
• Lead a team of site personnel and workers in day to day operations.
• Monitor overall reporting of work progress to Management.
• Coordinate and liaise with all consultants, sub-contractors, clients, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and supervise the overall works of building construction;
• Lead a team of site personnel and workers in the planning and execution of day to day operations;
• Monitor overall reporting of work progress to the Management;
• Provide support by responding to issues / problems arising;
• Coordinate and liaise with all consultants, sub-contractors, clients, and other relevant stakeholders;
• Monitor and regulate the quality of performance of sub-contractors;
• Plan and review the project schedule and budget when necessary;
• Implement policies, procedures, and instructions required by the Management;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent;
• Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Mandarin would be an added advantage;
• At least 8 year(s) of relevant working experience;
• Physically fit and agile;
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision;
• Positive attitude, able to multi-task and work in a fast-pace environment;
• Demonstrate good team work skills and maintain a strong team spirit with all relevant parties;
• Possess experience with Main Contractor in Bridge / High Rise Building projects would be an added advantage;
• Willing to work on the site;
• Willing to on-call and work on weekends and holidays when required;
• Willing to be based in Penang / Kuala Lumpur / Selangor.
