Job description
Responsibilities

Ensure that the company’s Quality Management System Manual, Quality Standard and the Project Quality Plan (PQP) are adhered to during construction of works.

To obtain all relevant approvals for the construction of the projects including layout plan, earthworks, infrastructure works, building plan approval and all other relevant approvals including the issuance of certificate of fitness and/or certificate of completion and compliance.

To coordinate with consultants during conceptual design, design development and tender stage and to ensure that all drawings are prepared within stipulated time frame for submission to the relevant authorities and calling tender.

Act as intermediary between field personnel and architect/designer in the resolution of project issues via management of the Request For Information process.

To regularly report to the General Manager on the progress of the works and the problem areas encountered especially in respect of defective, outstanding or non-conforming works or delayed works.

To control relevant project documents and data as outlined in the PQP.

Prepare project schedule/timelines considering property available room counts, contractor availability/capability and materials and Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment delivery schedules.

Requirements

Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.

Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in hotel construction projects.

Strong technical knowledgeof civil, structural, quantity surveying and architectural works related to hotel development.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead site project teams and coordinate effectively with internal contract teams and external consultants.

Experienced in liaising with government authorities to obtain necessary project approvals, permits and licenses.
