Project Manager – Digital and Transformation

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Project Manager to join our Digital and Transformation Team at BHPetrol. This is a full-time, 1+1 year contract role based in the office, responsible for leading and managing digital transformation projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in IT project management (8-10 years of experience), with a proven ability to oversee multiple projects, manage stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery. Experience in the fuel retail industry is preferred but not required. The candidate should possess strong leadership and communication skills, be results-oriented, and have a track record of successfully implementing digital initiatives. The role demands a combination of technical expertise, project management, risk assessment, stakeholder coordination, industry knowledge and ensuring alignment with business goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Project Planning & Delivery: Plan and manage project timelines, documentations, resources, and tasks to ensure execution and successful delivery.

Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with business teams, IT, and vendors to align on goals and ensure smooth execution.

Solution Scoping & Technical Alignment: Collaborate with vendors to define practical, scalable solutions that meet business and IT needs.

Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks early, resolve issues quickly, and keep projects on track.

Budget & Resource Management: Monitor budgets, control costs, and manage internal and external resources effectively.

Governance & Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with company policies, IT governance frameworks, and relevant standards.

Tracking & Reporting: Track progress and provide clear, regular updates to management and stakeholders.

Change Management: Support change efforts to help users adopt new systems and processes successfully.

Technical Support & BAU Issue Management: Provide technical support for ongoing systems, investigate and resolve BAU issues in collaboration with relevant teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

KEY DIMENSIONS

Team Coordination: Leads and coordinates cross-functional project teams to deliver and support digital projects.

Retail Coverage: Supports digital system rollouts across 400+ retail stations nationwide.

Systems Involved: Manages projects related to key systems such as Retail Automation, XFleet and Inden Project, upcoming Loyalty System, and other digital initiatives, including government-related requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement: Works closely with teams from Retail, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and external agencies to meet business needs.

Vendor Management: Works with over 10 vendors and partners to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.

System Uptime Support: Helps ensure systems meet the 95% uptime target, especially during and after project implementation.

Enterprise Systems & Integration: Skilled in designing and managing scalable, secure integration architectures across enterprise platforms, including APIs, middleware, and third-party systems.

Retail Technology Solutions: In-depth knowledge of retail systems such as POS, payment gateways, fleet card platforms, and station automation, with experience in implementation and troubleshooting.

Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy: Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure models, with experience in migration planning, cost optimization, and scalability.

Cybersecurity & IT Compliance: Familiar with security best practices, risk management, data protection, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI-DSS), ensuring secure and compliant systems.

Project & Collaboration Tools: Proficient in project and documentation tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Qualifications

Experience: 8 to 10 years of experience in IT project management or a related role. Experience in the fuel retail industry is preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with digital transformation strategies, IT systems, and enterprise applications.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of system architecture, cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure), integration frameworks (e.g., APIs, middleware), and cybersecurity principles.
