Mills Recruitment is supporting a leading regional financial services institution in Malaysia to hire a Project Manager (AMLA). This role is a blend of strategic leadership, technical expertise, and compliance-driven project management—astutely positioned within Client’s ongoing efforts to bolster AML capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- IT Project Manager of Anti‑Money Laundering System who manages the delivery and operations of the system.
- Proven experience in IT solution architecture and design.
- Provides technical leadership to the technical team members in support of development, implementation, maintenance and operations of application systems / IT solution (local and regional).
- Manage business stakeholders and align technical resources in achieving project objectives.
- Lead and take ownership in driving the strategy to meet the business strategic plan.
- The implementation of IT project / solution is to meet the business strategic plan (including business transformation, business growth, operational efficiency, etc.) and compliance requirements. This role is to support new AMLA solution in the Bank as well as manage the existing IT‑owned initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Level of Education: At least tertiary level.
- Minimum 10‑15 years in leading medium to large projects.
- Discipline/Related Field: Information Technology (IT) – Project Management and Solution Architecture.
- Domain: AMLA/CDD/Compliance applications.
- More than 10 years – End to end Project Delivery.
- More than 10 years – Managing IT project/operations which includes Application Support and Infra Knowledge of Server Setup/Network/Automation/Storage/Backup/Database.
- Has experience in leading solution architecture and design.
- Knowledge and experience in IT application architecture, analysis, design and development of applications.
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager with a focus in managing projects from initiation to closure.
- Understanding in project management processes and methodologies including common roles and responsibilities and able to manage end‑to‑end project delivery/support.
- Understanding of the IT solution discipline, processes and concepts.
- Technical aptitude, basic knowledge and experience across Oracle applications, information, technology, and process domains.
- Expertise in identifying business process improvements and improving Oracle FCCM.
