Job description

Malvest Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team based in Bukit Jambul, Penang. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering complex construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

What you'll be doing

Manage and supervise all phases of assigned property development projects from planning through to handover.

Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants/contractors to ensure seamless implementation of project activities.

Liaise with consultants and contractors in obtaining necessary authority approvals.

Conduct pre-construction site assessments and prepare related technical reports.

Develop project budget estimates and manage contract documentation.

Oversee the preparation of construction documents including technical specifications, materials lists, and detailed drawings.

Lead the tendering, negotiation, and contract execution processes for construction works.

Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion, within budget and in accordance with quality standards.

Implement and monitor quality control processes through scheduled inspections.

Manage project controls including scheduling, utilities coordination, contract compliance, and reporting.

Ensure adherence to all company policies, statutory regulations, and industry codes of conduct.

Carry out any other tasks as required to support project and operational efficiency.

What we're looking for

Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in project and construction management, preferably in high-rise or large-scale mixed developments.

Strong leadership and coordination skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.

Excellent problem-solving skills and results-driven approach.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage effectively with internal teams, consultants, authorities, and contractors.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with project management tools is a plus.

Willing to travel to project sites as required.

Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate market needs and trends.
