A leading construction engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking a Project Manager to act as the primary liaison with clients. The role involves managing project progress, coordinating internal teams, overseeing engineering projects, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Engineering, proven experience in engineering projects, and strong communication skills. This position is critical for ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience independently managing construction engineering or M&E-related projects.
• Understanding of infrastructure/M&E systems such as power distribution, UPS, HVAC/CRAC is an advantage.

• Manage overall project progress and provide timely updates to senior stakeholders.

This role acts as the primary liaison with clients, ensures smooth communication, manages project progress, coordinates internal teams, and oversees acceptance and payment processes. We are looking for a proactive leader capable of independently managing construction engineering projects while building strong, long‑term client relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as the main communication bridge with client management teams
• Manage overall project progress and provide timely updates to senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate and support internal teams to ensure efficient project execution.
• Supervise engineering activities related to IDC/M&E/infrastructure.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, project acceptance, and documentation.
• Follow up on billing milestones and payment collection.
• Maintain strong client relationships and support ongoing business needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Proven experience independently managing construction engineering or M&E‑related projects (IDC/Data Center/infrastructure experience preferred).
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Understanding of infrastructure/M&E systems such as power distribution, UPS, HVAC/CRAC, fire & low‑voltage systems is an advantage.
