A construction management firm is seeking an experienced project manager in Ipoh, Malaysia. This role involves leading projects from conception to completion while ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards. Candidates should possess a degree in a related field and 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry, demonstrating strong leadership and problem-solving skills. You will manage project budgets, collaborate with various stakeholders, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
Is accountable for the planning, execution, and ultimate completion of Construction development projects. This role requires coordination with various stakeholders, resource management, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards in executing the division's strategic objectives.
To lead the end-to-end project management process, from conception to completion including planning, design, construction, handover to purchasers and Defect Liability Period.
To collaborate closely with consultants and contractors to throughout all stages of project development to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with applicable regulations, codes, practices, QA/QC polies, performance standards and specifications.
To liaise with government authorities and other relevant bodies to ensure statutory approvals are obtained within targeted dates in the approved master implementation program.
To work closely with Contract Department and consultants for tender process and value engineering exercise.
To provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to Technical Team, fostering a collaborative and efficient environment for project implementation.
To monitor project progress to ensure on-time project delivery and proactively address any on-site challenges or issues that arise, employing effective problem-solving skills.
To develop and execute comprehensive project plans, encompassing all phases of development and adjust strategies as needed.
To manage project budgets, resources allocation and procurement to optimise project efficiency.
To attend regular project meetings to ensure smooth implementation of projects.
To implement all quality controls throughout the construction cycle which are in accordance with the standards and specifications laid down by Management, consultants and relevant authorities.
To prepare regular project status reports for senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks and mitigation strategies.
To collaborate with the consultants and all the relevant parties on all matters related with Local Authorities to obtain the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) for the projects.
1. Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field Construction.
2. Minimum 5 - 10 years of hands-on working experience in Construction industry.
3. Analytical skills, excellent leadership qualities, and interpersonal skills are essential.
4. Strong contacts and resources with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
5. Pleasant disposition, resourceful, meticulous and able to multi-task
