Job summary

A prominent engineering firm in Shah Alam is seeking a Project Coordinator to support day-to-day project activities and coordination. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, with 2-5 years' experience in project documentation and quality assurance. Responsibilities include document control, risk monitoring, and preparing project updates. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with knowledge of ISO standards considered an advantage.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day coordination of engineering and project activities, including tracking deliverables, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate inputs from internal teams, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering and project documentation such as technical reports, drawings registers, method statements, submissions, and presentations.
  • Ensure proper document control, including version management, traceability, and systematic filing of engineering records.
  • Assist in preparing engineering progress updates, technical summaries, and management reports.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of ISO-related documentation and quality records relevant to project activities.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by compiling required documents and supporting audit responses.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, and action items, and support follow-up and closure of agreed actions.
  • Assist in preparing materials for project meetings and document meeting minutes, technical decisions, and action items.
  • Support continuous improvement by highlighting gaps, inconsistencies, or risks in project documentation and processes.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of relevant working experience in project coordination, documentation, quality, or administrative support roles.
  • Exposure to project management, ISO standards, quality systems, or governance processes is an advantage.
  • Good written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and structured documents.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
