Job summary

A leading engineering company in Malaysia is looking for a project manager to oversee the electrical and mechanical operations at various project sites. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and preferably some experience in construction. Responsibilities include managing site operations, ensuring quality control, and attending meetings with stakeholders. A knowledge of CAD software and strong communication skills are crucial for this role, as is the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering fields required.
• Fresh graduates or those with up to 5 years of experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CAD software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the electrical/mechanical project scope.
• Attend site meetings with clients and contractors.

Job description

• Manage the project site by overseeing the day to day running of all matters related to the electrical /mechanical scope, including testing and commissioning of all the systems at project site
• Attending site meetings with owner/clients, consultants and contractors on matters relating to the project operation and co-ordination
• Ensure safe working methods, environments, quality control and quality assurance at the project site
• Manage risks in the assigned project and minimize project costs
• Any other duties as assigned by the Management from time to time

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least bachelor's degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Air Conditioning Engineering
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 5 years of experience in the electrical/mechanical construction field are preferred.
• Internships of 3 to 6 months or longer are also welcome.
• Knowledge of CAD software is an advantage.
• Willing to travel (Working location: Cyberjaya, KL city center or Johor, depending on management's arrangement)
• Knowledge in project management activities like project planning, attending meetings, up keeping of project records/correspondences, project reporting, scheduling, costs control, risks management & etc
• Good communication skills, outgoing personality, aggressive & able to work under minimum supervision
