Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an automotive project coordinator in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. Qualifications

  • Manage tool transfers, trial runs, inspections, and testing with production teams.
  • Troubleshoot process or part issues and prepare technical reports.
  • Support DPAP / PPAP part approval processes and liaise with QC/FA teams.
  • Ensure timely submissions and adherence to project timelines and standards.

Overview

Coordinate new automotive projects, including design reviews, engineering change requests, and component approvals. Manage tool transfers, trial runs, inspections, and testing in collaboration with production teams. Troubleshoot process or part issues, prepare technical reports, and maintain detailed project documentation. Support DPAP / PPAP part approval processes and liaise with QC/FA teams to ensure automotive compliance. Ensure timely submissions, customer follow-ups, and adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers) to achieve project milestones.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • At least 1 year experience in automotive plastics / injection molding / manufacturing process.
  • Hands-on, willing to work on-site with field and production teams.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of automotive standards and processes (PPAP, APQP, ISO/TS 16949) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Salary starts from RM 3,000 for junior level. The advertised range (RM 3,700 – RM 5,500) depends on skills and experience.
  • 5.5-day workweek with alternate Saturdays off.
  • Willing to work in Tampoi, JB.
