Job description

As the company continues to grow with several new projects across West and East Malaysia, we are expanding our team in multiple roles. Candidates with Mandarin language proficiency are strongly encouraged to apply, as the positions involve frequent communication with Chinese stakeholders.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • 1. Project Planning & Coordination
    • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities to meet timelines and quality standards.
    • Prepare method statements, work programs, and progress reports.
    • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers on technical and site matters.
  • 2. Site Supervision & Execution
    • Monitor daily site operations to ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
    • Troubleshoot site issues and propose practical engineering solutions.
    • Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and project SOPs.
  • 3. Technical & Documentation
    • Review construction drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
    • Prepare and update engineering documentation such as work permits, inspection forms, and testing reports.
    • Liaise with consultants for design clarifications and technical approvals.
  • 4. Measurement & Costing (QS Support)
    • Take-off quantities from drawings for material estimation and cost planning.
    • Assist in preparing Bill of Quantities (BQ), variation orders, and material schedules.
    • Conduct site measurement and verify subcontractors’ claims and progress payments.
  • 5. Budget Monitoring & Cost Control
    • Track and monitor project costs versus budget.
    • Support cost analysis and value engineering efforts.
    • Report any cost deviations and propose cost-saving measures.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical), Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience in construction or project management preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of QS duties (measurement, costing, VO, BQ).
  • Mandarin proficiency is an advantage due to communication with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
