Emage Innovation Sdn Bhd – Nusajaya, Johor

Overview

Lead and execute the on-site installation, commissioning, and validation of machine vision and automation systems at client facilities, primarily within the Johor region.

Manage project timelines and resources on-site to ensure installations are completed safely, on schedule, and according to specifications (URS/FAT/SAT).

Coordinate with internal engineering teams, subcontractors, and client operations staff during the deployment phase.

Perform Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and conduct comprehensive training sessions for client operators and maintenance personnel.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Serve as the primary responder for technical issues, performing root cause analysis and rectifying system failures related to hardware, software, and optics.

Conduct proactive and reactive on-site troubleshooting and diagnostics for installed systems to minimize client downtime.

Implement software and firmware updates, perform system calibration, and ensure all systems operate at peak performance post-installation.

Document all troubleshooting steps, modifications, and solutions accurately in the service log system.

Customer Interaction & Reporting

Act as the main point of contact for technical communication with the customer, fostering a positive and professional relationship.

Gather client feedback, communicate progress updates, and clearly explain technical issues and resolutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Prepare detailed weekly and monthly project status reports, site visit reports, and technical documentation.

Identify opportunities for system upgrades, enhancements, or new service offerings based on customer needs and site observations.

Requirements
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

Experience

Minimum of 1-2 years of hands‑on experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, or similar role involving on‑site industrial installations and technical support.

Technical Skills
  • Strong foundational knowledge of industrial automation, including PLCs, sensors, and control systems.
  • Practical experience with machine vision hardware/software (e.g., cameras, optics, lighting) is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Basic skills in technical software for diagnostics and reporting.
Soft Skills & Attributes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure (troubleshooting).
  • Possession of a valid driving license and willingness to travel frequently worldwide for project sites.
