A leading electronics manufacturer in Penang is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead and coordinate production teams, ensuring quality control and compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in relevant engineering fields, 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, and strong leadership skills. This role offers an opportunity to manage workflow, enforce safety protocols, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.
Lead and coordinate the production team to achieve daily targets, including shift scheduling, task assignment, workflow monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimal resource allocation on assembly lines.
Enforce robust quality control measures through inspections, testing, defect resolution, and continuous process improvements to meet ISO standards and minimize rework.
Manage a team of technicians and operators through performance reviews, train onboarding new hires, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with the Employment Act 1955.
Uphold a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, PPE compliance, safety drills, and incident reporting in line with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.
Oversee inventory and supply chain by track raw materials & components, coordinate timely supplier deliveries, use ERP systems for forecasting, and reduce waste to prevent production stoppages.
Drive continuous improvement by identify inefficiencies, introduce lean manufacturing techniques, analyze data, gather team feedback, and drive initiatives to boost efficiency and support business scalability.
Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field
3-5 years with at least 2 years of supervisory or leadership role within manufacturing, preferably in the electronics industry
Knowledge of ISO, safety regulations, and basic ERP/inventory tools
Hands‑on, strong leadership, problem‑solving, and people‑management skills
Strong written & verbal English + Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an added plus
Familiarity with Malaysian labor and OSH laws is highly advantageous
