We are looking for a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR at SELANGOR HALAL HUB PULAU INDAH INDUSTRIAL PARK SE, LOT 57 JALAN SUNGAI PINANG 4 3KS11, PORT KLANG, 42920, Malaysia. Permanent contract.

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to further strengthen our Production department.

As a Production Supervisor, you will directly supervise and coordinate daily operations of the production floor, ensuring manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role is crucial in maintaining production schedules, optimizing performance, and upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervision and Coordination: Oversee daily operations of the production plant, ensuring production schedules are met; assign tasks to production staff and monitor their performance; coordinate with Engineers to ensure smooth workflow; coordinate with Maintenance to ensure machinery and equipment reliability.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner; collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to address equipment malfunctions; develop contingency plans to minimize production downtime.
• Process Optimization: Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement; develop and implement process improvement initiatives; implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies; support cost reduction, waste minimization, and energy-saving initiatives.
• Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health, safety, and environmental policies; conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions; investigate and report any accidents or incidents on the production floor.
• Quality Control: Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications; implement and monitor quality control procedures; conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.
• Resource Management: Manage inventory of raw materials and supplies; ensure efficient use of resources to meet production goals; coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and quality-related records; prepare and review production reports, performance data, and root cause analyses.
• Training and Development: Train and guide new employees on manufacturing processes and process protocols; evaluate employee performance and provide feedback and coaching; participate in new product introductions, process validations, and equipment commissioning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in Oleochemical manufacturing/production.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office, SAP).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Ability to work on a rotated shift.
• Willing to work at Pulau Indah, Port Klang.
