Join a Leading Multinational Precision Metal Stamping Company in Malacca!

We are seeking experienced and highly skilled professionals to lead and oversee the daily operations of our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing plant in Malacca. This role calls for a detail‑oriented and analytical leader with strong communication and management skills to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will collaborate across departments, providing valuable insights, guidance, and strategic support to drive operational excellence and achieve business goals in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Your Role in Our Team
A. Production Operations
  • Supervise daily metal stamping processes, including press operations, tool setup, and material handling.
  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high‑quality output and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor and control press machines, tooling, and dies, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and tool room teams for die changes, preventive maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Verify production reports, reject rates, and downtime logs for accuracy and improvement actions.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee mechanical assembly activities according to production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Ensure all assembly processes are carried out following engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
B. Manpower & Team Management
  • Supervise and lead a team of operators, technicians, and line leaders in assigned production areas.
  • Plan manpower allocation based on daily production requirements.
  • Train and guide operators in machine operation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular briefings and performance reviews to ensure productivity and discipline.
C. Quality Control
  • Ensure that all parts produced comply with customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Work closely with the QA/QC Department to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform in‑process inspections and ensure compliance with work instructions and control plans.
D. Safety & Housekeeping
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety rules, 5S practices, and company policies on the shop floor.
  • Identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
  • Ensure operators use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
E. Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and productivity improvement programs.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and take proactive measures to improve performance.
Who We’re Looking For
Education:
  • Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Technology, or equivalent.
  • Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) in Metal Stamping / Tool & Die / Production Operations is an advantage.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in metal stamping production or related manufacturing processes.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of press machines, stamping dies, progressive tools, and coil feeders.
  • Experience in supervising production teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of SPC, quality systems (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949), and production documentation.
  • Good problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Able to read technical drawings and understand die setup procedures.
  • Computer literate (MS Office, ERP/MES systems).
