Overview
Responsible to lead the Production team for overall production delivery. To supervise and maintain production line in proper order, following procedures and control plan all the time. To execute production build plans & activities according to timeline.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for production schedule adherence, HPU improvement, cycle time improvement, inventory management, and employee development.
- Determining resources (capacity) needed to meet production plan.
- Dedicated and closely follow up on production issues with closure.
- Managing dispatching of work orders according to the build plan with planner.
- Drive for workmanship and quality improvements.
- Managing and controlling direct material usage.
- Well versed in using Oracle and shopfloor system to coordinate production lots flow.
- Ensure aging work order well controlled.
- Ensure shipment pack plan always ahead of schedule within cycle time.
- Keeping inventories at desired level.
- Managing employee attrition and retention.
- Managing and coordinating key employee activities to enhance teamwork and working environment.
- Drive for cost reduction project.
- Build the next level of staff in the department by delegating and coaching.
- Motivate staff to achieve breakthrough performances.
- Maintain highly disciplined workforce.
- Meet the performance matrix (HPU, CT, DPPM, Line Item, Volume, Cross Training, WIP Accuracy and Attendance. Derive Continual Improvement.
- Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of tasks. Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Engineering / IE / Production Management / TQM / related disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years working experience in a high-volume high mix production environment managing production with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
- Experience working with Oracle/ ERP/ SAP/ MRP tools.
- Experience working on lean manufacturing and quality improvement projects.
- Computer software knowledge.
