Widetech Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our thriving manufacturing team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. As the Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising our production processes, ensuring we meet our targets and deliver high-quality products to our customers.

What you'll be doing

Lead and manage the production team, providing guidance, support and mentorship to ensure efficient and effective operations

Develop and implement production plans, schedules and strategies to maximise productivity and meet customer demands

Monitor and analyse production data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing lean manufacturing principles

Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, health and safety protocols, and environmental regulations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering and logistics, to optimise the entire supply chain

Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and increase profitability

Provide regular progress reports and recommendations to senior management

Planning and Organising the Assemblies, Slitting and Sub Con.

Implement New Ideas into Work Area to Ascertain Positive Growth of Department.

Enhance, Monitor and Follow-up on the 5S, Safety & Health Activities at Workplaces.

Prepare Monthly Report.

Support and Motivate the Workforce to Achieve Higher Level of Productivity & Quality.

Manage and Supervise Departmental Workforce.

Managing and Supervising the Improvement Task & Project.

Department Planning & Budgeting.

Ensure Compliance of Local Law Requirement and Customer Social Audit Requirement.

Ensure Cost Effectiveness of Production Through Process Improvement.

Ensure On-Time Delivery by Improving the Production Yield such as Process Cycle Time.

Ensure Inventory Stock is updated to Up-To-Date and Minimize the Variances.

Keep Superior Inform on Daily Activities and Accomplishments.

Any other duties assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

What we're looking for

Minimum Diploma or Degree in any Disciplines.

Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry.

Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.

Proficient in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

Familiarity with quality management systems and production KPIs.

Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
