A leading manufacturing company in Kulim is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, at least 2 years of CNC machining experience, and skills in production planning and process optimization. Responsibilities include supervising the manufacturing team, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvements. Support the achievement of departmental and individual KPIs through effective planning and coordination.
Monitor section productivity and assist in ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
Carry out quality checks, reduce defects, and help achieve the targeted defect rate through continuous improvement activities.
Execute day-to-day production operations, coordinate with production staff, and ensure equipment and processes run according to quality and safety standards.
Supervise and coordinate activities for the manufacturing team to support plant quality and cost improvement goals and opportunities.
To be responsible for commissioning new equipment or production units or new processes, monitoring modification and upgrades, and troubleshooting existing processes for out-of-control situations and out-of-specification situations.
To monitor process performance, improve quality points, and ensure all operations consistently meet required standards and specifications.
Work closely with engineers and production executives on improving machine efficiency, optimizing the process, and implementing yield improvement and cost reduction programs.
To ensure good housekeeping & 5S in the production area.
To follow up on relevant production non-conformance issues and ensure action is taken accordingly.
To follow the Company's management system of ISO9001, 14001, 45001 and other regulatory compliance matters.
Oversee production progress, optimize the use of resources, and drive improvements to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective operations.
Coordinate closely with related departments to support manufacturing planning, process optimization, and the implementation of production lines.
Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years in manufacturing field, preferably experience in CNC machining
Skilled in CNC milling/lathe operation and programming
Able to read engineering drawings, use measuring tools, and work with CAD/CAM software
Knowledge of process control, production planning, and ERP systems
Leadership experience managing operators and line leaders
Understanding of quality standards and committed to a safety-first work environment
