Job summary

A textile manufacturing company located in Chemor, Perak is searching for a Production Manager. Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and motivate production staffs to deliver exceptional work and ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Hold team meetings to review and discuss production status and ongoing problems.
  • Work with production teams to ensure cost-effective, high quality and timely delivery of products to meet production goal.
  • Implement and enforce company policies, safety procedures, work instruction and standard operation procedures for staffs.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance production quality, capacity and cost effective.
  • Work with Managers, Scheduler and Planner to analyse job orders and develop production tasks and schedule.
  • Plan and assign job duties to production supervisor.
  • Recommend new ways of manufacturing, improving existing manufacturing processes, providing additional training or adopting better manufacturing processes to maximize production performance.
  • Provide job training to workers to meet production goals.
  • Investigate problems, analyse root causes and define preventive and corrective action.
  • Ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Participate in cross project leadership and cross project coordination.
  • Management may, at its discretion, assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
  • Minimum Degree in textile manufacturing or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in manufacturing line
  • Able to manage and plan schedule
COMPETENCY / SKILLS
  • Experience in directing and supervising production personnel
  • Possess technical knowledge and can adapt at all phases of the textile manufacturing processes
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Power Point, Word, and Excel
