Overview

The Production Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing manufacturing operations to achieve production targets, ensure equipment reliability, and maintain product quality. This role requires strong technical expertise in production systems and hands-on experience in particularly with Control Panels (Power Box) and Gas Box systems. The Production Engineer also drives continuous improvement initiatives, supports troubleshooting activities, and ensures that production processes comply with quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production activities to ensure output meets target, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting production issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Apply hands-on knowledge in Control Panels (Power Box), and Gas Box systems to support installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for efficiency improvement.
• Recommend and implement process optimization to improve yield, reduce cycle time, and minimize production costs.
• Support introduction of new products and processes, including equipment setup and validation.
• Work closely with R&D, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve production challenges.
• Provide technical input in material evaluation, equipment upgrades, and process improvement.
• Support coordination with Logistics to ensure timely availability of materials and components.

Qualifications

• At least a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
• Preferably candidates with strong technical expertise in production systems and hands-on experience particularly with Control Panels (Power Box), and Gas Box systems.
• In-depth knowledge of large-scale manufacturing including processes, production systems, and quality control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with production teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality and efficient production processes.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions in dynamic manufacturing environments.
• Willing to be based in Kedah.
