JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Daily Production Operations
- Monitor daily production output and ensure target achievement
- Troubleshoot issues related to machines, molds, compaction, sintering, and secondary processing
- Ensure production activities comply with SOPs, work instructions, and safety standards
2. Process Control & Optimization
- Analyze production parameters (density, sintering, temperature, cycle time, tool wear)
- Optimize processes to reduce defects, improve yield, and lower production cost
- Support automation or process improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, 5S)
3. Machine & Tooling Management
- Coordinate with maintenance on machine preventive maintenance schedules
- Monitor tool and mold conditions to prevent breakdowns or quality issues
- Assist in new tooling trials, sample runs, and process validation
4. Quality & Compliance
- Work closely with QA to handle quality issues, NCRs, and corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other company/industry standards
- Support root-cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, SPC, and DOE where required
5. Production Planning & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
- Assist in capacity planning, manpower allocation, and material usage management
- Work closely with planning team on scheduling and order fulfilment
6. Project & Cross-Functional Support
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes from trial to mass production
- Coordinate with engineering and design teams during product startup
- Communicate production status and issues to relevant departments
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (preferably metal parts, sintering, powder metallurgy)
- Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with production monitoring tools (OEE, SPC, DOE)
- Knowledge of compaction presses, sintering furnaces, or MIM equipment is a strong advantage
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- Candidates with Diploma + 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design will also be considered
- Fresh graduates with strong CAD skills may be accepted, depending on company preference
- Experience in automotive parts, precision engineering, metal stamping, MIM, or powder metallurgy is a strong bonus
