Job summary

A leading construction firm in Johor Bahru is seeking a Production Engineer. The successful candidate will analyze architectural drawings, guide the production team, and maintain quality assurance during projects. Applicants should have a degree in civil engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in overseeing structural works. Proficiency in AutoCad and other design tools is required. Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are also welcome to apply. This role involves visiting sites in Malaysia and Singapore.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural drawings and prepare Bill of Quantity for stiffeners.
• Plotting of Stiffeners using AUTOCAD.
• Guide production team on drilling positions for lintels.
• Study special designs (e.g., welding steel plates to stiffeners), provide sketches, and communicate with the welding department.
• Ensure quality assurance and maintain QAQC checklists for orders, preparing for annual factory inspections.
• Assist with stock management and record incoming/outgoing goods.
• Visit construction sites in Singapore/Malaysia to understand site requirements.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in civil engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ local experience supervising structural/civil works (main contractor or consultant).
• Strong leadership, reliability, and customer focus; excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
• Open to fresh graduates with relevant qualifications.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in AutoCad/Revit/Tekla/Stadpro required.
