Job summary

A manufacturing company in Chukai, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced engineer to support shift production. Candidates should have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a chemical plant. Responsibilities include preparing work plans, production reports, and budgets, as well as liaising with suppliers and improving processes. Strong commitment to safety and compliance is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support shift production by preparing work plan, quality control range, and production schedule.
  • Prepare production reports and technical reports required by authorities.
  • Promote and plan safety, environmental, and quality activities with QHSE department.
  • Prepare production budget and monitor production cost.
  • Conduct process and equipment troubleshooting and suggest corrective actions.

Responsibilities

To support shift production by prepare work plan, quality control range, analysis frequency and production schedule.

To prepare production report and/or technical report required by authorities e.g. DOSH, DOE.

To promote, practise and plan safety related activity with QHSE department.

To promote, practise and plan Environment related activity with QHSE department.

To promote, practise and plan Quality related activity with QHSE department.

To prepare production budget and monitor production cost.

To prepare expenses for purchasing activity, receive material purchased and prepare payment advice for payment activity.

To conduct process and equipment trouble shooting, suggest corrective action, monitor the corrective action result and produce trouble shooting report.

To continuously monitor the process and production activity and prepare plan for process and plant improvement/modification.

To liaise with supplier raw material and machine for delivery, improvement and quality control.

To liaise with Japan HQ and other plant for improvement, process control method, machineries upgrade and troubleshooting, raw material quality and sales related documentation.

To be responsible for customers' requirements, investigate customer complain and prepare corrective action report.

To abide and comply with company regulations and government agencies regulation.

Minimum Qualification
  • Must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
  • Experience in Chemical Plant or its equivalent for minimum of 2 years.
