Job summary

A technology solutions company is seeking a Subject Matter Expert based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The role involves qualifying sales leads, leading the RFI/RFP tender process, and supporting the sales team by maintaining customer relationships. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge and be able to conduct presentations to customers. Additional duties may include assisting senior management and participating in product updates.

Qualifications

• Expertise in assigned technologies and products.
• Experience in sales lead qualification and solution proposal.
• Ability to lead RFI/RFP/RFQ processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform as the Subject Matter Expert of the assigned technologies.
• Qualify sales leads and propose suitable solutions.
• Take lead in the tender process including technical proposals.

Job description

i) Perform as the Subject Matter Expert of the assigned technologies and products;

ii) Qualify sales lead and propose best‑suit-client need solution;

iii) Take lead in RFI/RFP/RFQ tender process such as solution design, technical statement of compliance (SOC), technical proposal, bill of quotation (BOQ) and commercial proposal;

iv) Conduct presentation of the offered solution to the customers and to clarify technical questions from customers;

v) Participate in commercial negotiation meeting with procurement team from customers;

vi) Work with internal technical team on preparation of demonstration / proof of concept session;

vii) Support sales team by maintaining relationship with customers and ensure customer’s satisfaction;

viii) Receive product updates from Product Principal and to equip sales team with the latest product information;

ix) Possess own vehicle for work travelling purpose;

x) Assist Directors, CEO, COO and managers in any areas where your expertise or service is required;

xi) In addition to the duties, which this job normally entails, you may from time to time be required to undertake additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the Company’s business;

xiii) maintain the highest standards of integrity and conduct;
