Job summary

A multinational technology company in Johor is looking for a Procurement Specialist to manage material procurement plans, coordinate supplier deliveries, and handle quality issues. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of procurement experience, be proficient in office software, and possess excellent communication and analytical skills. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, with Chinese-Mandarin as a plus. This role offers a dynamic working environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate material procurement plans based on customer demands.
  • Update the FCST to suppliers weekly.
  • Issue purchase orders accurately and promptly.
  • Follow up on material delivery and coordinate with suppliers.
  • Handle quality abnormalities and conduct account reconciliations.
  • Report procurement progress to supervisor.

Job description

Formulate rational material procurement plans on a weekly basis, based on customer demands, internal inventory data and other relevant information.

Update the FCST (Forecast) to suppliers weekly, and urge them to prepare materials timely and appropriately.

Issue purchase orders promptly and accurately in accordance with material procurement plans and order gaps.

Follow up on material delivery, coordinate with suppliers on lead times, and ensure that internal production and shipment requirements are met.

Feedback and handle quality abnormalities in a timely manner, and conduct account reconciliation and deduction processes.

Proactively report project procurement progress to the corresponding supervisor, drive the improvement of abnormal issues, and increase project contribution value.

Bachelor's degree or above, with at least 2 years of procurement experience. Experience in manufacturing or multinational enterprises is a plus.

Proficient in using office software and skilled in common Excel functions.

Excellent communication skills, strong mathematical and analytical abilities, and rigorous logical thinking.

Highly motivated, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-departmental teams.

Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Chinese-Mandarin proficiency is an advantage (to liaise with China headquarters).
