Job summary

A leading technology company in Malaysia is looking for a Procurement Executive to handle vendor sourcing and negotiations. Responsibilities include sourcing new vendors in Malaysia and other ASEAN countries, acting as the liaison between suppliers and the company, and managing cost down activities. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business, preferably with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Proficiency in English and Malay is essential, with knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office being advantageous. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related working experience preferred but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in Procurement or Purchasing preferred.
• Technical procurement experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Source new vendors in Malaysia and other ASEAN countries.
• Act as the contact person between the supplier and company.
• Negotiate agreements and quotations with suppliers.
• Monitor trading conditions and support other departments as needed.
• Perform cost down activities required by management.

Job Brief

• Perform the localization activity by dealing with suppliers and collaborate with other departments to complete activity.
• Implement Cost Down activity in order to achieve Cost Down Target.

Job Responsibilities

• Sourcing for new vendor in Malaysia and other ASEAN country
• Act as a window person between supplier and company
• Request, handle and negotiate for agreements and quotations from supplier
• Monitor the trading condition. Support to other department when needed
• Perform any cost down activities which required by the management
• Alert on the part change information and act accordingly to support the daily production

Job Requirements

• Candidate should possess a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in all Engineering field, all Business field
• Preferably at least 1 year of related working experience. Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply as well, suitable candidate will be considered
• Preferably Executive or Engineer specializing in Procurement, Purchasing or equivalent
• With technical procurement / procurement engineering experience will be an advantage
• Good communication skills in English, Malay. With Chinese and Japanese language proficiency will be an advantage
• Basic knowledge of metal stamping / injection molding, mechanical part process is preferred
• Basic knowledge of understanding mechanical drawing is preferred
• This position might involve project management. With related experience and skill will be an advantage
• Preferably with SAP skill
• Preferably with Microsoft Office skill
• This position require travel outstation
