Overview

Procurement Engineering Technician will be assisting Procurement Engineers (Supplier Quality Engineers and Component Engineers) in handling day-to-day tasks such as incoming raw materials check, production support, improvement of suppliers' quality & performance and general quality of raw materials to ensure NI can continuously ship products.


Responsibilities


  1. Provide technical support to incoming inspection inspectors or receiving operators if there are issues or questions related to incoming raw material.

  2. Attend to production's requests such as issues arising from production, which are related to raw material. Support including investigation on issues from SMT, Wave and Back End Assembly Process.

  3. Assist Procurement Engineers (Supplier Quality Engineers and Component Engineers) to carry out tasks such as evaluation, review of parts in Material Review Board (MRB), inspections of part and so on.

  4. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to clarify technical specifications, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on delivery progress.

  5. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes, cost optimization, and supplier quality enhancement.

  6. Compile and publish departmental reports to track action items and KPIs.


Qualifications


  1. 1-2 years’ experience in general knowledge of manufacturing operations (from incoming, SMT, Wave to Back End Assembly). Fresh graduates are welcomed.

  2. Able to read and interpret engineering drawing and datasheet.

  3. Good level of understanding on Microsoft office tools - Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerBI.

  4. Diploma in Engineering field, preferably in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
