Job Responsibilities
  • Drive the growth, profitability, and efficiency of assigned product categories through effective planning and execution.
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance metrics including Sales, Gross Profit, GMROI, Inventory Turnover, and Stock Holding.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, manage procurement budgets, and ensure adherence to Just-In-Time (JIT) purchasing practices.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing strategies, and consumer behavior using tools like Nielsen and IQVIA to support category decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Retail, Marketing, Logistics, Finance, etc.) to align category strategies across channels.
  • Expand online and offline product assortment by onboarding strategic SKUs and optimizing listings across Alpro’s retail platforms.
  • Secure marketing, training, and CSR support through supplier collaboration and Trading Term Agreement (TTA) negotiation.
  • Conduct regular competitive pricing surveys to optimize category pricing and maintain market competitiveness.
  • Monitor supplier performance including OTIF (On Time In Full), credit terms, return policies, and stock delivery reliability.
  • Lead new initiatives, campaigns, or cross-departmental projects related to category performance improvement.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or any relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Category Management, Procurement, or Supply Chain, preferably in retail or healthcare.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Familiar with ERP systems, business analytics tools, and digital procurement platforms.
  • Excellent command of English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (spoken & written).
  • Proven skills in negotiation, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Self-driven with strong project management capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
